Nadeshot worried for CoD’s future & fears Verdansk won’t save Warzone

Anticipation is high for Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, returning, but Nadeshot doesn’t believe it’s enough to reinvigorate interest in Call of Duty.
When Black Ops 6 Ranked Play launched on Nov. 21, 2024, Nadeshot dedicated most streams to playing the competitive game mode. However, just under a month later, on Dec. 17, Nadeshot stepped back from the game and stopped streaming CoD entirely.
“There’s no integrity, Nadeshot argued. “Somebody is always cheating, the network sucks, or the game is broken.”
Article continues after adNadeshot jumped ship for Marvel Rivals and wasn’t the only one to do so, as Warzone streamer Swagg and others also flooded to the hero shooter.
Some players suspected that Verdansk’s return was just what Call of Duty needed to get back on track, but Nadeshot doesn’t think so.
Nadeshot fears the worst for CoD’s future
“Verdansk is coming back for the first time in a long time. Floating loot is great, and the 150-player count is great. They are obviously trying to make sure people have fun when they get back, but I think the issue is still going to be the hacking and cheating situation,” Nadeshot explained.

“All of these good things they are doing are kind of null and void if you get on and can’t play a real and fair game of Call of Duty,” Nadeshot continued.
Despite his reservations, Nadeshot plans to give Verdansk a chance when the map is released. It also helps that Activision revealed a plan to crack down on cheaters more effectively in Seasons 2 and 3, but it remains to be seen if that’s still in the cards.
